Nanjing schools improve after-class services in new semester

Primary and middle schools in Nanjing, the capital of East China's Jiangsu province have improved their after-class services which have been offered since the second week of the fall semester.
For example, Nanjing Fangcaoyuan Primary School now offers a wider range of tutorials and club activities after class. The school's vice-principal, Hu Qiqiang, said there are about 200 clubs that can satisfy the diverse interests of students.
At the Shuren campus of the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University, 99.5 percent of students have participated in after-class activities. Each of them take 15 classes every week – six tutorials, four club activities, and five sports activities. The club activities are related to a wide range of subjects, including robots, artificial intelligence, fabric art, and pottery.
Liu Haiyan, vice-principal of the high school, said they will further improve after-class services to aid students' development.
