The 21st Jiangsu Province Middle School Spoken English TV Competition was recently held in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Yilin Press.

The competition had two categories for middle school and high school contestants. More than 10,000 students participated in the event and 104 of them qualified for the finals.

Twelve students in each category won the grand prize and 20 students received the first prize.

The competition was aimed at promoting the integration of information technology with English learning and improving students' English skills.
