Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province has been helping local intelligent manufacturing companies develop their overseas business by providing services related to talent training, technology, and platform.
The institute has opened special classes for international students from countries where local companies' overseas subsidiaries are based, and worked with these companies to make education plans and conduct project-based teaching to train skilled professionals that are in short supply.
For instance, the school has built a workshop with Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry Co and regularly sends teachers to Indonesia to conduct Chinese or industrial robot training for local employees.
The Changzhou institute has also established an intelligent manufacturing science and technology park in cooperation with overseas colleges and Chinese enterprises. With a focus on research and development, personnel training, and technical services, the park facilitates international technology transfer and cooperation.
Meanwhile, the vocational institute and several leading overseas Chinese companies have formed the Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Manufacturing Sino-German Alliance of Enterprises and Education. The school has explored ways of securing more educational resources through the alliance.
Many sets of technological standards, such as those regarding 3D printing and numerical control, as well as vocational skill standards and talent education standards, have also been created as a result of partnerships between the school and enterprises. These standards have also been promoted in colleges of other countries.
