Overview: Jiangnan University (JNU) is the "211 Project" and First-class Discipline Construction University directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It has 117 years of history, 18 colleges covering 10 discipline categories, 7 post-doctoral mobile stations, 10 primary doctoral disciplines, 31 primary master's disciplines and 15 professional master degree categories. It has 3343 staff, 20,785 full time undergraduates and 11,867 postgraduates, 603 international students.

JNU is located in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, P.R. China, adjacent to the beautiful Taihu Lake, covering an area of 252 hectares, with a construction area of 1.19 million square meters. 9 disciplines have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, including Agricultural Science in the top 0.13‰. JNU ranks the 45th on the Chinese university list.

JNU started to cultivate international students from 1964, and now cooperates with 179 universities and research institutes from 35 countries and regions. It has 35 international joint laboratories, 6 "Plan 111" (Innovation and Talent Introduction Plans of Universities and Disciplines developed by Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China) and won the First Prize of Higher Education National Teaching Achievement Award.
