Overview: Founded in 1960, Jiangsu Shipping College (JSSC), is under the direct administration of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation. It is a maritime college with a complete programs of water transportation, such as shipbuilding, ship usage, ship management, port, waterway, logistics, etc., with distinctive characteristics and comprehensive strength ranking at the forefront of national vocational colleges.

The area of this JSSC is approximately 165 acres. Today the college has more than 460 full-time teachers serving approximately 12,000 full-time students. In addition, the college enrolls more than 3,700 students pursuing higher education in continuing education programs.

With 7 schools (School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, School of Marine Engineering, School of Navigation, School of Transportation Management and Economics, School of Transportation and Engineering, School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Information Technology, transportation and engineering, School of Arts and Humanities), under the college’s direct supervision, JSSC offers more than 40 programs.
