Overview: Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine (JSMC), a full-time public vocational college directly subordinate to the Jiangsu Commission of Health, locates in Yancheng. The school-running history of JSMC can be dated back to the N4A Sanitation School of Central China established in 1941. The scenic campuses, rich history, and the accessibility of JSMC have made it an ideal choice for students who are hoping to pursue a career in medicine.

JSMC is a provincial demonstrative vocational college entitled as Advanced Vocational College in Jiangsu, the Constructing College of China's Featured High-level Vocational College, the Pilot College for Talents on Disabled Rehabilitation. JSMC has 8 affiliated hospitals,36 clinical hospitals,18 community training bases,7 teaching hospitals and 173 internship training bases. JSMC deeply implements the talent cultivation model of combining teaching and clinical training, scheduling part of the curriculum of the specialties like nursing and TCM rehabilitation in the cooperation hospitals to achieve a better talent cultivation result through earlier internships and more clinical training. Up to now, 17 gold medals have been won by the students from JSMC in the national vocational students' skills competitions, which stands on the top of all medical vocational colleges in China.
