Overview: Communication University of China Nanjing (CUCN), founded in 2004, is a private university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is also the only application-oriented university specializing in media and arts in Jiangsu Province, seeking to fully exploit its preeminent and educational resources to meet the rapidly growing demand for trained, talented media and art professionals in China.

CUCN is endowed with 1.1 million square meters (273 acres) of land, and is known as the most beautiful campus in Jiangsu. CUCN offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor's degree in more than 50 majors among 12 schools, and its full-time enrollment totalled over 20,000 students. GRADUATION AND DEGREE AWARDING

The standard length of schooling for undergraduates is set to 4 years (no less than 3 years & no more than 6 years). Those who have completed all courses stipulated in the academic plan and passed all the exams shall be awarded the undergraduate diploma. Those who pass the degree examination shall be awarded bachelor's degree. According to the relevant regulations of Ministry of Education, China, undergraduate students taught in Chinese should reach level 5 of Chinese Language Proficiency Scales For Speakers of Other Languages.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Application Conditions

Non-Chinese citizens with valid passports, 18-30 years old, physically and mentally healthy, shall abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese traditions and customs. The applicant should have a high school certificate or equivalent one.

Application Documents

1. Scanned copy of the passport (Valid after Aug. 30, 2024);

2. Scanned copies of the original diploma and degree (Chinese or English version); those to be graduated should provide the proof of graduation from current school. The expected time to obtain the degree should be earlier than Jul. 31, 2023. The diploma/degree must be submitted when registering;

3. Scanned copy of the original transcript with all the courses (Chinese or English version);

4. Curriculum Vitae (Consecutive study experiences since high school. Full study experience is required for those who have studied in China);

5. Scanned copies of the China related visa and residence permit, including all the study experiences;

6. A personal statement or study plan, written in Chinese, 400-800 words;

7. HSK 4 or above certificate, or equivalent Chinese language proficiency certificate;

8. Foreigner Physical Examination Form: The applicant should conduct the examination strictly according to the list. The result is valid for 6 months;

9. Financial proof (either the family deposit certificate or parent/guardian income certificate, over 5000 USD suggested);

10. Non-criminal record(Those to be graduated may provide the proof of good performance at the current university).

Review and Examination

Please get all the application documents packaged and sent to the university at gjc@cucn.edu.cn once they have been prepared. The initial review will normally take 10 days. Once the initial review is completed, the university will email the applicant to inform them of the online application interview and to pay the admissions test fee of RMB 500 (once paid, there is no refund).

CHARGE

Tuition: 20,000 yuan/year

Accommodation: 3,000 yuan/year (furnished four-bed room); 6000 yuan/year (furnished two-bed room)

(All the dormitories are furnished with balcony and independent bathroom)

Textbook: 1000 yuan / year (including electronic teaching resources of overseas universities)
