Overview: With over 120 years from today, the history of Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU)can be traced back to 1902. It is a pioneer of modern agricultural education, research and extension, the first institution in China to offer four-year bachelor programs in agricultural disciplines.

NAU is a multi-disciplinary national key university under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. With agriculture and life sciences as its dominant field, NAU has diverse branches of learning in its 20 colleges, such as sciences, economics, management, engineering, law and the arts.

NAU now consists of five faculties: Plant Sciences, Animal Sciences, Biology and Environment, Food and Engineering, and Social Sciences. NAU offers 65 Bachelor’s programs, 96 Master’s programs, and 53 Doctoral programs. Currently we have over 17,000 undergraduate students and about 11,000 graduate students studying at the university. There are more than 2,900 faculty and staff members. Since 2017, the number of international students for both degree and non-degree programs has surpassed 1,000.
