Jiangsu University holds international culture festival

The 13th International Culture Festival of Jiangsu University opened on May 7. Over 1,000 international students from 85 countries, along with more than 3,000 Chinese teachers, students, and residents of Zhenjiang, attended the event.
During the opening ceremony, teachers and students from China, Pakistan, Russia, Ghana, India, Thailand, and a number of other countries performed traditional dances, singing, and fashion shows.
International students from nearly 40 countries also set up booths to display their countries' customs, culture, and cuisine.

The foreign affairs office of the Zhenjiang Municipal People's Government and the Cranfield Tech Futures Graduate Institute of Jiangsu University also had booths displaying traditional Chinese culture and joint educational projects.
Yan Xiaohong, principal of Jiangsu University, said at the ceremony that the university has made remarkable achievements in cultural exchanges and international talent cultivation. He expressed hope that the festival would provide a platform for both Chinese and international students to experience diverse cultures, enhance mutual understanding, and foster friendships.
The festival will last from May to November and feature a series of activities such as cultural exhibitions, talent competitions, academic forums, meetings with entrepreneurs, and job fairs.
