Nearly 30 international students from nine different countries, including Russia, Ghana, and India, embarked on a journey on July 28 to explore Suzhou's traditional culture and modern achievements.

The event commenced with a spirited opening ceremony, during which the organizers presented the students with books introducing Suzhou's economic and social development, as well as its rich historical heritage.

Following the launch ceremony, the international students visited the Suzhou Bay Museum, Suzhou Bay Digital Art Gallery, Taihu Snow Sericulture Cultural Park, and Xiejialu village. They also engaged in discussions with corporate leaders and local residents to gain insights into Suzhou's economy and culture.

"It's truly amazing that such exquisite silk products are created from the silk threads spun by these little silkworms," marveled one of the students at the sericulture park.

An Indonesian student from the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Soochow University said: "Over the past seven years, I've witnessed China's remarkable reforms and latest achievements first-hand. Through today's activities, I believe we can enhance our understanding, appreciation, and affection for China. I aspire to use the knowledge and experiences gained here in Suzhou to share China's story and act as a bridge of cooperation between my home country and China."
