The Jiangsu Association for the Development of International Communication at Colleges and Universities was established in Nov 29 at Nanjing University in Nanjing, Jiangsu.

Comprising 13 prestigious Jiangsu-based universities, including Nanjing University, the association aims to tell China's stories well by integrating resources.

Tan Tieniu, Party secretary of Nanjing University, said that the association is set to deepen collaboration in various aspects, including sharing information, expanding communication channels, optimizing content production, advancing academic research, and nurturing talent pools.

The association is gearing up to establish a joint research institute on international communication, develop a discussion platform, institute a collaborative mechanism for cultural exchange with overseas entities, create a series of social media accounts for Jiangsu universities, and conduct training in international communication.

During the launch ceremony, the secretariat of the association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Jiangsu Now International Communication Center of Xinhua Daily and the Our Jiangsu International Communication Center of the provincial radio and television station. According to the agreement, the three parties will leverage their respective strengths to engage in practical cooperation in information resources, content channels, research projects, talent development, and mutual exchange.
