The inaugural Chinese language speech contest for international students at Changzhou University was held on Nov 30 in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, offering up a diverse and insightful exploration of China's culture by participants from 10 different countries.
During the competition, a total of 12 international students, hailing from nations spanning the entire globe, eloquently delved into various aspects of Chinese culture, ranging from its rich history to its natural environment, economy and industries, urban transformation, and food.
Vietnamese student Le Tuyet Mai and Koffi Paul Arnaud Yao from Cote d'Ivoire emerged as the winners of the first-place prize.
Xue Bing, director of publicity at Changzhou University, expressed his hope during the contest that international students can promote Changzhou's economic development and rich culture to the world.
