Expats explore charm of Taizhou during 'Discover Jiangsu' tour

A group of foreigners from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and France, gathered in Jiangyan district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province from Dec 7 to 8 to explore the city's vibrant economy, idyllic countryside, and rich historical heritage.
The opening ceremony took place at the Taizhou Jiangyan Art Museum on Dec 7. Joseph, a foreign teacher from Jiangyan No 2 High School, shared his firsthand experiences of working and living in the district. After the ceremony, participants visited the Jiangyan Art Museum and gained insights into the intangible cultural heritage, calligraphy and painting works, as well as creative cultural products created in Jiangyan.
Over the course of the two-day journey, the foreigners visited Suzhong Pharma, a leading enterprise in the health industry, Shoto Group which specializes in energy storage, and Qinhu Lake Oasis Resort. They also enjoyed a night cruise on Qianhu Lake and explored Qintong ancient town.

A scholar from the United Kingdom with a keen interest in history said the ancient town impressed him. He said that the wine brewed using traditional methods was delicious, and he even bought two bottles of pomegranate wine to share with his family.
"Discover Jiangsu" is a campaign launched by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government Information Office and comprises a series of events aimed at showcasing the charm of Jiangsu to foreigners living in the province and prompting them to promote Jiangsu to the world.
