At the recent World Chinese Language Conference held in Beijing, Li Hongyan, a Chinese language teacher for international students at Jiangsu University, was honored with the title of "Best Teacher," with her Chinese character course also being recognized as "Best Course". "The fascinating stories behind Chinese characters are cultural treasures that truly captivate international students," said Li.
In recent years, she has been using digital technologies to make her classes more engaging. Her efforts have resulted in the creation of several series of micro-courses, earning her multiple awards at the provincial and national levels.
In September of last year, Li gave Chinese language lectures to Malaysian students. Her classes attracted over 5,000 students from more than 30 Chinese schools across Malaysia and over 300 Malaysian teachers.
