Jiangnan University in Binhu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province hosted an event on April 18, inviting over 50 journalists from leading media outlets to explore the university's high-quality development, focusing on talent cultivation, scientific research, and social responsibility.

Participants toured several important facilities on the campus, including the Science Center for Future Foods, the History Museum of Food Science, the School of Medicine and the School of Textile Science and Engineering. During the tour, the media learned about the university's cutting-edge research in various fields and its active role in supporting local industrial upgrades.

At the launch ceremony of the event, Ni Songtao, vice-principal of Jiangnan University, emphasized the university's ongoing commitment to innovation in talent cultivation and its consistent improvement in educational quality. He noted that several of the university's disciplines like light industry and food sciences have earned high global rankings.

The latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) shows that 10 disciplines at Jiangnan University, including agricultural sciences, chemistry, clinical medicine, and computer science, ranked in the top 1 percent worldwide, with the chemistry discipline ranking in the top 0.1 percent.
