Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange, in collaboration with education departments from the United States, is organizing a series of exchange activities for US middle and high school students. On June 9, the first group of US students arrived in Wuxi and Nantong.

By June 29, a total of 427 students and educators from states including California, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Utah are expected to visit Jiangsu. The delegation comprises school teachers, education department officials, and students in grades 9-12.

During their 20-day stay in Jiangsu, participants will engage in immersive exchanges, city visits, and cultural experiences across 13 cities. For instance, the initial group of 97 students from Los Angeles, California, had the opportunity to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival by watching dragon boat races on the Haohe River, making zongzi, and crafting sachets, experiencing traditional Chinese culture firsthand.

Activities in each of Jiangsu's 13 cities are tailored to showcase their respective uniqueness. Highlights include visiting the Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, touring high-tech enterprises in Wuxi, exploring wetlands in Yancheng, staying with local families in Suzhou for an authentic Chinese living experience, and visiting historical cultural districts in Changzhou. In Nanjing, the students will visit five universities, including Nanjing University and Southeast University.
