The 2024 international summer school at Nanjing University of the Arts has commenced, welcoming 36 students from countries including the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia.

During the opening ceremony of the two-week program, Zhang Ming, dean of the School of Industrial Design, expressed his hope that students would gain an understanding of the modern expressions of traditional Chinese culture.

Anosha Sakhawat, a student from the United States, talked about her deep interest in the philosophy and cultural significance embedded in Chinese art. She also expressed her eagerness to explore the integration of art and technology during the program.

This year's summer school promises a unique blend of cultural education and hands-on experiences, offering students a comprehensive insight into the fusion of traditional Chinese artistry with contemporary design principles.
