Changzhou University concludes international summer school on energy materials

The 2024 "Discover Jiangsu" International Summer School hosted by Changzhou University and themed "Exploring Energy Materials Technology and Practicing Low-Carbon Living", recently concluded. Fifty-seven university students from countries including Russia, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, and China participated in the program.
The summer school aimed to improve international students' understanding of energy materials and Changzhou's unique cultural identity. It included lectures, practical sessions, and site visits to facilitate cross-cultural and academic exchanges.
Changzhou University provided a top-tier international faculty for the program, including Igor Alexandrov, former vice-rector of Ufa University of Science and Technology in Russia, and Wang Yuxin, director of the International Office at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. These experts guided students through the latest developments and cutting-edge technologies in energy materials.
The summer school also included visits to historical sites and cultural landmarks in Changzhou, such as the Changzhou Museum, Qingguo Lane, and the Zhou Youguang Memorial Hall. Students also toured companies like the CRRC Qishuyan Institute.
Duangkaew Pornrat, a student at Thailand's Prince of Songkla University, expressed her enthusiasm: "I am very interested in China's new energy vehicle batteries, and greatly appreciate Changzhou's intangible cultural heritage."
The "Discover Jiangsu" International Summer School is a significant event for Jiangsu's educational outreach. The 2024 summer school featured 25 projects focusing on academic and cultural experiences.
