On Sept 18, the Jiangsu-Uzbekistan Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance was established in Nanjing.

The alliance was initiated by eight vocational colleges in Jiangsu, two universities in Uzbekistan, and two research institutes. In the future, schools from both countries will engage in close cooperation across various dimensions, such as school-to-school connections, program alignments, resource sharing, and faculty exchanges.

Khudayberdiev Zayniddin Yavkachevich, director of the Uzbekistan Vocational Education and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel, emphasized the urgent need for Uzbekistan's economic development to incorporate Chinese experiences, particularly in vocational education, to cultivate a pool of skilled professionals.

He expressed a desire to organize a Sino-Uzbek vocational education forum in the near future so that educational authorities and institutions from both countries can exchange experiences, discuss cooperation, and outline development plans.

Ju Changzhi, vice-president of the Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce, outlined the school's commitment to collaborating with alliance members to establish a high-quality platform for Jiangsu-Uzbekistan vocational education cooperation.

Jiangsu colleges participating in the alliance include the Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce, Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology, and Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute.
