During the "Reading Huai'an" event, international students from Algeria, Yemen, Thailand, and Laos recited a famous Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) poem by Yao Guangxiao, earning widespread praise. A Laotian graduate student emphasized the event's role in deepening his understanding of Chinese culture, noting the invaluable experience of sharing classic literature with fellow students.

Additionally, students from 24 countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, participated in a book donation drive, contributing hundreds of books, including classic literature and history books. These books made their way to rural students, fostering literacy and learning.

A Sri Lankan graduate student chose to donate The Beautiful Chemical Structure and Robinson Crusoe, expressing hope that recipients would find inspiration in reading. "Books broaden horizons and increase knowledge," he said.

International students also visited Nanhua county in Yunnan province, to participate in reading activities with local students. This initiative aims to spread love and hope while supporting rural vitalization. Together, students shared donated books, discussing literary insights and engaging in cultural exchange.

A Thai doctoral student reflected on her memorable experience reading with Nanhua students, highlighting her commitment to education as a means to change lives. She aims to give back to society and inspire future generations through the power of learning.
