Soochow University students engage in global research programs during summer holiday

This summer, Soochow University students embarked on enriching international research and learning experiences across the globe.

From July 10 to 20, two students attended a global competence training program in Switzerland. The program delved into complex subjects such as sustainable development, artificial intelligence governance, and cultural heritage preservation through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on projects.

From July 8 to 13, 20 students from the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Materials Science visited Singapore. They toured labs at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, gaining insights into advanced research environments and methods.

In Italy, 15 architecture students participated in a training camp from July 6 to 17. They studied heritage conservation at the University of Florence and visited renowned historical buildings to deepen their understanding of European architectural history.

From Aug 11 to 26, 21 students attended a summer program at the University of Cambridge, UK. The program emphasized leadership, fostering innovation, and honing academic English proficiency to empower students to improve their communication skills and expand their global outlook.
