Xuzhou College of Industrial Technology (XZCIT) and Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) held a signing ceremony on Jan 13 for the joint training program for overseas students from Uzbekistan. The initiative aims to cultivate high-caliber localized technical talent to support XCMG's global development strategy.
The program, lasting three years, includes 1.5 years of language and general education courses, compulsory courses, and theoretical courses, and half a year of specialized courses and company-specific engineering machinery training. The last year of the program will consist of internships, practical training, and graduation projects.
Liu Ying, Party secretary of XZCIT, said that the partnership will explore a new model of customized training for overseas students, enhancing the integration of vocational education with industrial development. It will provide strong talent support for Chinese enterprises expanding abroad, while promoting international exchange and cooperation in Chinese vocational education.
In recent years, the college has been continuously expanding its international cooperation, establishing partnerships with over 50 universities in more than 20 countries, including Russia, Germany, Canada, Indonesia, and Malaysia. It has also trained hundreds of international students from countries along the Belt and Road and offered Chinese language and skills training for employees of Chinese companies.
