On March 8, an international cultural exchange event was held at Changjiang Senior High School in Rugao, where Russian and Chinese students connected through martial arts.

The event featured captivating martial arts performances that highlighted the discipline's deep heritage roots. Jiang Zongyi from Rugao demonstrated powerful and dynamic moves, embodying the essence of Chinese martial arts tradition, while Gu Haidong combined strength and fluidity, reflecting the philosophical depth behind each movement.

The Russian students impressed the audience with their mastery of Chinese martial arts, skillfully wielding spears and short staffs. "I never expected our Russian peers to have such a deep understanding of Chinese kung fu!" remarked Huang Hao, a student from Changjiang Senior High School.

Beyond martial arts, the event also incorporated dance and music. Students from Changjiang Senior High School performed a classical dance embodying the elegance of Eastern aesthetics, while a Russian exchange student from Nantong Institute of Technology delivered a heartfelt vocal performance, adding a touch of youthful energy. The event concluded with a grand chorus, symbolizing hopes for friendship and a shared future.

In recent years, Rugao has actively promoted its cultural heritage globally through initiatives such as international exhibitions and short video showcases, introducing traditional crafts like Rugao bonsai and silk carpet weaving to audiences worldwide.
