The 2025 "Discover Jiangsu" International Summer Program comprises 99 short-term academic and cultural exchange initiatives offered by 53 universities.

The academic part focuses on advanced topics and major research trends in each host university's strongest disciplines, with lectures delivered by renowned academicians and scholars. The cultural part includes visits to historical and cultural landmarks and enterprises across Jiangsu and the Yangtze River Delta region.

To offer greater flexibility, the program timeline is no longer limited to summer months. The earliest sessions begin in April, with some extending into October. Each program typically lasts two to four weeks, with 70 percent devoted to academic activities and 30 percent to cultural experiences and cross-cultural communication.

Each summer school hosts 20 to 60 participants, bringing Chinese and international students together to foster intercultural dialogue and shared learning.

As a globally recognized approach to international student engagement, the Discover Jiangsu initiative has seen growing success. Since its launch in 2023, the program has welcomed over 1,000 students from nearly 60 countries.
