2025 'Discover Jiangsu' International Summer Program opens in Changzhou

The opening ceremony of the 2025 "Discover Jiangsu" International Summer Program was held at Changzhou University on June 9. The university's program this year focuses on the intelligent manufacturing and new energy sectors.
The program has attracted over 40 international participants from universities including Western Carolina University, University of the District of Columbia, University of Missouri–Kansas City, and Ufa University of Science and Technology in Russia.

Spanning two weeks, the summer school offers a rich mix of academic lectures, hands-on workshops, corporate visits, case studies, and cultural experiences. It aims to promote in-depth exchanges between Chinese and international students and deepen participants' understanding of cutting-edge academic research, industrial innovation, and traditional Chinese culture, while showcasing the vitality of modern Jiangsu.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Gary Curnutt from Western Carolina University delivered a speech on behalf of the international participants. In a gesture of cross-cultural friendship, Zhang Haijun from the Higher Education Association of Jiangsu Province presented a set of Chinese language learning books to the US students.
