Having arrived in Wuxi back in 2020, my bond with this remarkable city has flourished over the past five years. The harmonious blend of modernity and tradition, coupled with the warmheartedness of its people, has inspired me to get actively involved with the local community. My time in Wuxi is not only a story of personal growth, but of giving back to the city that embraced me with open arms.

My contributions to Wuxi have been diverse and meaningful.

International volunteer at the Wuxi 2024 World Taekwondo Grand Slam Challenge: I had the honor of volunteering at this high-level event, offering translation services and assistance to international participants. I was not only able to enrich the athletes' experience but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among global competitors. By bridging language barriers, I helped cultivate an inclusive atmosphere that reflected Wuxi's hospitality.

Summer camp volunteer: Currently, I am involved in a summer camp at my school, where I teach English and lead younger children in various fun activities. Sharing knowledge about our city's culture and history has been incredibly rewarding. Witnessing how these interactions spark curiosity in the children and encouraging them to admire Wuxi's beauty and rich heritage has been truly fulfilling.

Musical contributions: I have been actively involved in various musical performances across Wuxi, earning recognition for my piano and cello skills. Performing as part of the school orchestra at the Mixc shopping mall allowed me to showcase our talent to the community, fostering a greater appreciation for the arts. These performances not only entertain but also facilitate cultural exchange and fortify community ties.

Community clean-up initiatives: Participating in local clean-up endeavors has been a great way for me to give back to Wuxi. By organizing and participating in initiatives to clean streets and parks, I have contributed to enhancing the city's natural beauty. These initiatives have also raised awareness about environmental preservation, encouraging others to take pride in our shared spaces and work towards a cleaner future.

Support for students with disabilities: Volunteering at local schools catering to students with physical disabilities, I have taken part in activities that promote inclusivity and positivity. Building friendships with these students has been incredibly gratifying, reinforcing the belief that everyone deserves equal opportunities and respect.

Athletic participation: As a sports fan, I have competed in various competitions in Wuxi, including basketball and volleyball competitions at the ACAMIS and SISA events. These experiences have taught me the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience. Through these competitions, I have not only represented my school but also contributed to the positive spirit of Wuxi, inspiring others to engage in sports and community activities.

Through these activities, I have not only deepened my connection to Wuxi but have also witnessed the positive influence of community engagement. I believe my efforts contribute to a more vibrant, inclusive, and enlightened society.

I am eager to continue my journey in Wuxi, serving as a cultural bridge and promoting the beauty of this city while fostering understanding and goodwill among its residents.
