The 2025 "Reading Jiangsu" program for international students has recently launched its Suqian chapter. It invites students from universities across Jiangsu, including Suqian University, Jiangsu University, and Changzhou University, to explore the city's attractions through engaging cultural activities.
In Suqian, students explored the Former Residence of Xiang Yu, where they traced the city's thousand-year history, and then visited the Yanghe Winery Cultural Tourism Area, where the aroma of aged liquor and traditional brewing revealed the balance between heritage and modern industry.

During the event, a senior student from Russia studying at Jiangsu University received a gift book that immediately caught her attention with its distinctive cover. "For international students, understanding China's history and local culture is an important way to connect with the country," she said. "This is my second visit to Suqian, and I find the city full of literary charm and new discoveries. I hope more people will come to love Suqian and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture through reading and practice."
