An Iranian student majoring in clinical pharmacy at the School of International Education, China Pharmaceutical University, recently took part in a hands-on experience of Peixian martial arts, a traditional sport recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Jiangsu province.
The student practiced each move with focus and persistence, striving to master the essence of traditional martial arts. He also tried the stone lock exercise, where a combination of strength and technique allowed him to feel the power of this ancient tradition.

During the activity, intangible cultural heritage inheritor Deng Shouchao performed the nine-section whip, and his sharp and fluid movements left a strong impression on the student, deepening his respect for Chinese martial arts.
What inspired him most was Deng's teaching that "before learning martial arts, one must first learn courtesy and virtue." He remarked that this helped him see martial arts in a new light: "It's not just about physical skills, but also about building willpower and moral character."
He said, "Before coming to China, I admired Chinese kung fu through films and books. But now, being able to learn authentic martial arts and experience the depth of Chinese culture in person, I truly feel its warmth and strength — and I've grown even fonder of this land and its remarkable culture."
