The two-day 2025 Taizhou Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Junior Colleges and Secondary Vocational Schools recently concluded at China Medical City.

Four teams from Taizhou University, Taizhou Institute of Science and Technology of NJUST, and Taizhou Polytechnic College won first prizes in various categories.

A team from Taizhou University took home the top prize with a cultural tourism project that creatively combined traditional culture with modern trends, earning a score of 96.6.

Zhang Xinyi, a member of the Taizhou University team, shared that their project focused on the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage of Jingjiang clay dog figurines. Through the blind box format, they aimed to revitalize this traditional craft and help local farmers increase their incomes.

The competition aimed to provide a platform for students in Taizhou to showcase their talents while supporting the city in building a more youth- and talent-friendly environment. The event featured nine categories, including Intangible Cultural Heritage, Artificial Intelligence Applications, Low-altitude Economy, Silver Economy, and Digital Economy.

During the award ceremony, Taizhou Huarui Commercial Management and Taizhou Polytechnic College unveiled an internship and employment base. Gu Qiang, the company's deputy general manager, explained that the company will provide a series of support measures for award-winning students, including shop resources, rent reductions, special funds, and mentorship.
