Lianyungang Technical College in Jiangsu and Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University recently unveiled the Zheng He Academy of Chemical Engineering.

Central Asia is a key partner of Jiangsu province in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, with vocational education as a distinctive feature of their collaboration. The new college integrates the strengths of both institutions in natural sciences and materials chemistry, creating a platform for training young technical talent from China and Kazakhstan.

The project aims to address the workforce and technical requirements resulting from China-Kazakhstan industrial cooperation. It offers specialized academic programs and skills training, including courses on Chinese materials and chemical engineering, along with practical training resources. In addition, it works to align China's chemical vocational standards with the Kazakh certification system.

The initiative focuses on developing female professionals who possess advanced expertise in chemical engineering, fluency in Chinese, and a global perspective.
