Jiangsu, Kazakhstan strengthen educational cooperation

A China-Kazakhstan education cooperation exchange meeting under the Jiangsu-Central Asia Industry-Education Integration Alliance was held on Dec 9 at the Nanjing Institute of Technology.
Zhang Yangfei, president of Nanjing Institute of Technology, said the event provided an important opportunity to expand cooperation with Kazakh partners. He expressed hopes to strengthen joint efforts in building internship bases, promoting faculty and student exchanges, developing teaching materials and carrying out research.
Eldar Tulekov, director of the Department of Strategic Planning and Coordination at Kazakhstan's Ministry of Science and Higher Education, spoke positively about the achievements and potential of educational cooperation with Jiangsu. He noted that the alliance offers a valuable platform to further advance collaboration in talent training, academic exchange, and the integration of industry, education and research.
During the event, seven schools under Nanjing Institute of Technology signed several cooperation agreements with relevant Chinese and Kazakh enterprises and educational institutions. In addition, the institute signed a framework agreement with Phoenix Education Publishing, Nanjing Polytechnic Institute, and Kazakhstan-based C2K (Central Asia to Kazakhstan) International Education to jointly develop textbooks for use in Kazakhstan.
