China-US vocational education leaders meet in Nanjing to advance cooperation

The 2025 China-US CTE Institution Presidents' Dialogue was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Dec 11, bringing together more than 100 college presidents, experts and scholars.

The event ran under the theme "Digital Empowerment and Shared Resources: Practical Application and Mutual Learning", aiming to strengthen people-to-people ties and cooperation in vocational education.

Representatives discussed policy development, industry-education integration and digital teaching innovation. Speakers highlighted growing collaboration between the two countries in career and technical education, emphasizing shared benefits and mutual learning.

The dialogue featured two rounds of thematic discussions. The first examined the co-development and sharing of digital teaching resources, technology-enabled instruction and quality assurance in joint programs. The second focused on pathways for high-quality cooperation, including talent cultivation, school-enterprise partnerships and alignment between industry certification and curricula.

On Dec 12, participants visited Nanjing University of Industry Technology, touring its intelligent manufacturing and aero-engine training centers to gain firsthand insight into China's vocational education practices.
