Moroccan student at Nanjing Tech University inspires through volunteer service

Malak Atie, a student from Morocco majoring in International Economics and Trade at Nanjing Tech University, has become a well-known campus volunteer recognized for her dedication to public service and cultural exchange.
Since becoming a member of the university's Red Cross Society in 2023, Atie has been actively involved in a wide range of campus activities. From welcoming new students and assisting at sporting events to supporting international exchange programs, she is often seen working behind the scenes.
As time has passed, she has grown from a participant into a key organizer, coordinating volunteer teams, receiving international guests, and managing on-site logistics to ensure events run smoothly.
Atie also serves as a volunteer guide at the university museum's Shijun Hall, where she introduces visitors to the institution's history and achievements in science and technology. "I'm not only telling the story of the university," she said. "I'm also acting as a bridge for cultural exchange between China and Morocco."

Beyond her volunteer work, Atie has made blood donation a long-term commitment. Since 2023, she has donated blood every year and encouraged fellow students to join the effort. She has also completed professional first-aid training and holds a Red Cross first-aid certificate. At campus sports events, she often volunteers as an emergency responder, helping ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
Through her service and enthusiasm, Atie continues to play a meaningful role in building a caring and internationally connected campus community.
