A delegation of 37 students and three teachers from La Salle High School in Girona, Spain, visited Bachaxiang Primary School in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, on March 23 for a cultural and sports exchange.
The Spanish guests toured the school's history museum to broaden their understanding of the development of the school's table tennis culture, which has become a distinctive part of campus life.
The group then headed to the school's table tennis hall, where 37 members of Bachaxiang Primary School's table tennis team were paired one-on-one with the visiting Spanish students for a series of interactive activities.
The exchange began with an ice-breaking game called "table tennis relay", in which mixed teams of Chinese and Spanish students raced back and forth while balancing ping-pong balls on their paddles. The Spanish students also had the chance to try out an AI-powered serving machine and gradually improve their skills with guidance from their Chinese peers.
"Although I had played table tennis before, this was my first time doing it in such a professional and energetic environment," said Marti Cusi, a student from La Salle High School. "It was really exciting. The children here were so warm and enthusiastic, and I'm very happy. This trip has left me with wonderful and unforgettable memories."

At the end of the event, students from both sides exchanged gifts as a symbol of friendship. Children from Bachaxiang Primary School presented hand-designed table tennis-themed paintings, while the Spanish students offered small souvenirs featuring the character of their hometown.
