Jiangsu University welcomes first cohort of Uzbek master's students through joint program

The first group of 14 master's students from Termez State University in Uzbekistan has enrolled at Jiangsu University under a joint training program, marking a new step in educational cooperation between the two universities.
Under the program, students complete their first year at Termez State University before being selected to continue their studies at Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang. They will then spend one to two years in China undertaking intensive Chinese language training, supplementary degree coursework and master's thesis writing.
The program is designed to combine the educational strengths of both institutions while cultivating internationally minded professionals with a strong understanding of both Chinese and Uzbek cultures.
Located in Termez, the capital of Uzbekistan's southernmost Surxondaryo region, Termez State University is the largest and most influential comprehensive public university in the area. It is consistently ranked among the country's top 10 universities.
The university has more than 10 academic departments covering a wide range of disciplines, including education, languages, history, social sciences, mathematics, physics and biochemistry. Its programs in agricultural science and technology, pedagogy and linguistics are particularly well regarded in Central Asia.
