International students in Nanjing explore city's history through cultural study tour

A total of 67 international students studying in Nanjing took part in a cultural study tour on March 27, visiting the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the Sun Quan Memorial Hall to gain a deeper understanding of the city's rich history and cultural heritage.

At the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the students, from countries including Namibia, Tanzania, Ghana and Sri Lanka, walked along the historic Sacred Way, admiring iconic features such as the stone statues and the civil and military officials' gate. Through professional explanations by onsite guides, they learned about the site's historical significance.

At the Sun Quan Memorial Hall, the students viewed exhibition panels and videos that traced the origins of Nanjing's history as a capital city.
The activity offered the international students an opportunity to engage with traditional Chinese history and culture, while also helping them better understand the historical depth and cultural identity of Nanjing.
