A cooperation agreement to establish the China-Belarus Institute of Excellent Engineers was signed on April 15 at the China-Belarus Industrial Park in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The industrial park is China's largest and highest-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zone.
The new institute aims to strengthen collaboration between China and Belarus in talent cultivation, scientific research, and academic exchanges, while promoting deeper integration between education, technology, and industry in both countries.
The institute will be jointly developed by Nanjing University, Belarusian National Technical University, Sinomach Digital Technology, and Nanjing Qixia High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
Founded in 1920, Belarusian National Technical University is one of the country's top technology and engineering universities. It ranks second among all higher education institutions in Belarus. Many members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are its alumni.
Sinomach Digital Technology serves as a platform under China National Machinery Industry Corporation to advance the digital transformation of the industry. Nanjing Qixia High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, one of Nanjing's key industrial parks, focuses on two leading sectors: artificial intelligence and the digital economy, as well as biomedicine and life sciences, supported by a well-developed industrial ecosystem.
