International students from Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang turned into Chinese-language content creators during the May Day holiday, sharing their experiences.
Russian student Mo Youran, who has lived in China for seven years, shared her leisurely walks in parks and around campus, expressing her fondness for the city.
Malaysian student Peng Junhui chose a more relaxed holiday style. He sang in an outdoor choir with Chinese students, tasted local pot lid noodles, and joined a square dance group. He described these everyday experiences as "small but certain happiness".
Another Russian student prepared Russian-style dishes herself and visited lesser-known camping sites around Zhenjiang with friends.
Beyond Zhenjiang, the students also explored wider cultural landscapes across eastern China. Russian student Yafei traveled to the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao in Shanghai, where she wrote detailed Chinese travel notes describing stone bridges, waterways and local life. Her guideposts were praised online for being both practical and heartfelt.

Another student spent three days traveling in Suzhou, visiting classical gardens such as Canglang Pavilion and the Shantang Street area, and admiring the traditional garden design in which every step reveals a new view.
Their sharing was further enriched by cultural reflection. A Russian student wrote a well-structured Chinese article introducing the origins and development of International Workers' Day, while connecting the topic with her own volunteer experience during the holiday.
