Russian student explores charm of Yangzhou through poetry-inspired journey
Inspired by a famous line from an ancient Chinese poem, Lea, a Russian student at Yangzhou University, embarked on a cultural journey through the city to experience its unique blend of history, scenery, and traditional lifestyle.
During her visit, Lea sampled Yangzhou's renowned morning tea and took a cruise on the picturesque Slender West Lake, one of the city's most iconic scenic spots celebrated for its classical gardens, graceful bridges, and poetic beauty.
To gain a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture, Lea also tried her hand at paper cutting, a folk art with a long history in China. Guided by local artisans, she experienced the craftsmanship and cultural meaning behind the intricate designs.
