International students from universities across Jiangsu gathered on June 25 for the IBRC × Jiangsu International Student Salon, an event designed to help young global talent better understand China's foreign trade landscape, connect with industry resources and explore career opportunities.
The event brought together students from countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Tajikistan for a series of discussions, industry briefings, roundtable sessions and networking activities. Participants exchanged perspectives shaped by their diverse cultural backgrounds, academic disciplines and study experiences in China.
During interactive discussions, students shared their observations on China's market, manufacturing sector and cross-border trade, while exploring topics such as international cooperation, foreign trade practices and the evolving global business environment.
A key focus of the salon was bridging the gap between classroom learning and the real-world industry. While many international students have developed strong academic expertise, they often have limited opportunities to engage directly with China's industrial ecosystem.

To address this, the event offered in-depth insights into the strengths of China's manufacturing industry, highlighting the competitive advantages of its industrial clusters, emerging trends in global expansion, and the growing potential of overseas markets.
By combining industry analysis with open dialogue and practical resource matching, the salon aimed to equip international students with a clearer understanding of China's role in global trade and the opportunities available for those seeking careers in international commerce.
