More than 30 international students from Jiangsu University recently traveled to Changzhou for a firsthand look at China's rapidly advancing smart manufacturing sector.

The program took the students to Changzhou Pacific Electric Power Equipment Group, a high-tech company specializing in power transmission and distribution equipment.

During the visit, the students toured two of the company's key production lines for high- and low-voltage switchgear and transformers. From the precision processing of individual components to the standardized assembly of finished products, they gained an up-close understanding of modern industrial production.

The visit also highlighted the role of digital technology in manufacturing. Real-time monitoring platforms track quality throughout the production process, demonstrating how traditional manufacturing is increasingly being integrated with digital management and intelligent technologies.

Students later exchanged ideas with company representatives on topics including manufacturing standards, production capacity and overseas market development.
