Jiangnan University alumnus builds bridges between China and Egypt
When Saeid Medhat, an Egyptian alumnus of Jiangnan University and official speaker for Vivo Egypt, took the stage, he chose a simple title: From the Nile to Taihu Lake, I Built Three Bridges.
His story began in Wuxi, where he arrived as a student at Jiangnan University. Years later, he returned to Egypt to work for Vivo, carrying with him more than a degree.
"What I learned in China was not just a business model," he said. "It was a way of doing things — pragmatic, open, trustworthy, and focused on the long term."
As this year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Egypt diplomatic relations, he said that the friendship between the two countries is not confined to official documents; it lives in the stories of every international student who has come to China.
