Xuzhou University of Technology launched a training program for Uzbek students on Oct 13 in collaboration with Chinese construction machinery manufacturer XCMG and Uzbekistan's Urgench State University. The program aims to develop skilled workers to support industrial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.
Under the three-party partnership, Urgench State University will select students and provide preliminary training, Xuzhou University of Technology will deliver language courses and foundational education, and XCMG will develop industry-specific courses tailored to the needs of its overseas operations. The company will also provide students with hands-on training in real industrial settings.
The program will focus on marketing and production management, aiming to develop internationally minded professionals who combine technical expertise, management skills and an understanding of local markets.
"I look forward to learning about advanced Chinese manufacturing technologies, talking with Chinese students, and gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture," said student representative Ruzmov. After completing his studies, he hopes to apply his technical knowledge and draw on his cultural experiences to help strengthen exchanges between China and Uzbekistan.
XCMG established a manufacturing facility in Uzbekistan in 2014 and has since become a major supplier of construction machinery in the country's market.
