Formerly known as Huaiyin Medical College, Jiangsu Vocational College of Nursing was founded in 1958, and was approved by the provincial government to use the new name in 2014.

It is a college level of ordinary college and university and under the administration of the Jiangsu province’s health and family planning commission.

Located in Huaian city in Jiangsu province, the College has two campuses and an area of 570 mu (379,996 square meters).

Its six disciplines include nursing, foreigner-oriented nursing, midwifery, medical inspection technology, pharmacy and rehabilitation technology. There are more than 6,300 students.

In the past 50 years, the College has trained over 50,000 high-skilled professionals, who have made contributions to local and provincial economic development and the cause of health reform.
