Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Finance & Economics is an ordinary full-time college for higher vocational education with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government in July 2004.

The College covers an area of 812 mu (541,336 square meters) with a floorage of 247,600 sq m and a fixed assets of 616 million yuan ($100.32 million). Its total value of teaching facilities reaches 67 million yuan. There are 630,000 volumes of printed books and 7,500 GB of electronic books in its library.

It has 8,845 full-time students and 465 staff members, including 364 full-time teachers. About 21 of them hold senior academic titles, 99 vice senior academic titles. A total of 232 teachers have master's or doctoral degree.

There are 32 majors in eight teaching departments, such as accounting, economics and trade, business management, humanities arts and law, mechatronics and information engineering, grain engineering and management, teaching and research for ideological and political theory, as well as basic course teaching.
