Tongji Middle School: red carpet show
Students from Tongji Middle School in Changzhou fulfilled their dreams of being a star on their first day of the new semester, staging a red carpet show and extending wishes for the coming school term.
They were also treated to lunch with the school principal and hugs from other students.

Shibei Experimental Middle School: lantern riddles and charity sale
The campus of Shibei Experimental Middle School in Changzhou was adorned with red lanterns on Feb 12, to commemorate the new semester and the annual Lantern Festival.
Teachers devised some 400 elaborate lantern riddles, covering subjects from academic knowledge to the students’ names!
A charity sale, featuring special products from the students’ hometowns, was also held. With more than sixty percent of the students being from other towns and cities in China, the charity sale also provided a good chance to get to learn the folk cultures of fellow classmates.
