Students from Fukouka Univeristy in Japan arrived at Yangzhou University on Feb 28, to spend two weeks learning Mandarin and immersing themselves in Chinese culture.
The student exchange is aimed at boosting ties and Sino-Japanese friendship.
Sun Yang, associate professor and director of the Japanese Department of the School of Foreign Language at Yangzhou University, warmly welcomed the 13 arriving students and wished them all the best in their studies.
Students from Yangzhou University eagerly showed their Japanese peers around Yangzhou’s many scenic spots and areas of cultural significance, such as Slender West Lake. The students exchanged gifts and were treated to a variety of performances.
