They went on a thorough tour around Nashan Mountain – the hometown of Luyangchun tea – picking tender tea leaves, hiking up to the peak, strolling around the tranquil lake, and enjoying the unique geological landscape formed millions of years ago.

The students regarded the trip as very fruitful, bringing them wonderful memories of Chinese tea culture and splendid countryside scenery.

As the origin of the renowned Luyangchun tea, Yizheng boasts a strong tea production capacity that the over 50,000-mu (3,333 hectares) plantation can make its annual output of dried tea reaching more than 1,000 metric tons, with the gross value totaling one billion yuan ($145 million). Yizheng has also been dedicated to promoting its local specialty, as the annual Luyangchun tea festival has been carried out successfully since 2005.
