In grey and blue, 30 members of the “Rangers” football squad, well-armored from head to toe, worked together to score a few touchdowns.

“A touchdown can never be achieved by someone himself. In football games, only teamwork counts,” said Liu Weidong, coach of the school football team. “It’s an efficient way to foster integration and teamwork.”

Boasting Jiangsu’s first American football squad made up of college students, the squad, since its initiation in early 2016, has attracted more than 50 students from the schools of sports, law, finance, and economics.

According to Liu, the players have at least four hours of training every week – from basic physical training to the positioning and coordination between different partners.

Now, the players are busy preparing for the tournament organized by the National Football League China in the next half year.
