A gallery featuring Russian art opened at the Communication University of China, Nanjing (CUCN) on Oct 20, being the first of its kind in China.
Roughly 200 classic oil paintings created by Russian artists are displayed at the gallery. Various academic exchanges and aesthetic education activities will be carried out in the future.
The opening ceremony welcomed throngs of artistic and cultural insiders from China and Russia. Local officials also extended greetings, for the gallery to write a new chapter in regional cultural exchanges.
A non-governmental university, CUCN has been deeply rooted in media arts for the past 15 years since its founding. It has also advanced with unique charm and played an active role in regional and even national cultural development.
